Did I Tell You I Love You Today?
The mother and sister of basketball star Micheal Jordan have written a second
childlren's picture book, this time about a mother affirming her love for her
young son....and all the special ways parents cherish those they love. Whether
"apart or together, near or far, day or night, from childhood to adulthood -
the never-ending reach and power of a mother's love touches every moment of
every day, even when you least expect it. All you need to do is make sure to
notice." (Publisher)
A page from the book reads: "Remembering our
time together and the things you like to do, I'm thinking of ways I can help
to bring out the best in you. Searching for ways to encourage you in all I do
and say, I pray for ways to tell you best that "I love you" today."
Written in rhyming text and with colorful illustrations by
Shane Evans, this is a warm and fuzzy book to read to your child sending a big
dose of love his way. Although the illustrations are more like carciatures
than the realistic pictures we prefer, the message of the book is so strong
that it's been added to our collection. The message of love is similar to the
book "I'll Love You Forever" - but here it is shown with a family of color.
The co-author writes this in her dedication: "This book is dedicated to
my Heavenly Father, who continues to lavish His unfailing love, enduring
mercy, and abundant grace on me. To my mom, who has given so much more than
any child could ask."
Authors - Deloris Jordan and Roslyn M. Jordan. Ages 3-6.
