Coretta Scott King Honor Award

Hardcovered, large-sized picture book about that legendery tap dancer, Bill "Bojangles" Robinson. Written in rhyming verse and illustrated by Leo and Diane Dillon, this engaging book won the Coretta Scott King Honor Award for Illustrators. Mr. Bojangles is known as the greatest tap dancer of all times. He "talked with his feet" with child star Shirley Temple in several films as was the highest paid Black entertainer during the Great Depression of the 1930's. Written for children, but a treasure for any adult's collection as well.
