1. How will Jesus come?
Visibly, as He went into heaven. " Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven." Acts 1:11
2. Who will see Jesus return?
"Every eye shall see him." Revelation 1:7
3. Will His coming be secretive - quiet - a secret rapture?
"For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with a voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God..." 1 Thessalonians 4:16
"...and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet..." Matthew 24:30, 31.
4. Will anyone try to impersonate or imitate His coming?
Yes. "For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ and shall deceive many." Matthew 24:5
5. If someone tells you that Jesus has appeared, how should you respond?
"Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not." Matthew 24:23
"Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not." Matthew 24:26
"Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near; go ye not therefore after them." Luke 21:8
6. Why is it not necessary to go somewhere to see Jesus?
His coming will be visible to everyone. "For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be" Matthew 24:27
7. In what ways will the deceiver try to imitate Jesus' coming?
a. By performing signs and wonders. "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders, insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." Mathew 24:24
b. By making fire come down from heaven. "And doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men." Revelation 13:14
c. By performing miracles. "And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do..." Revelation 13:14
d. By announcing that he has changed the law. "And he shall speak great words against the most High, and ...... think to change times and laws..." Daniel 7:25
e. By forcing people to worship. ".....and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast....." Revelation 13:12
8. What will the deceiver try to do to people who refuse to worship as he dictates?
"..... and cause that as many as would not worshipthe image of the beast should be killed." Revelation 13:15
9. What other punishment will the deceiver inflict on those who refuse to worship as he dictates?
".....no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark...." Revelation 13:17
10. Does Jesus approach people with force - compulsion as does the deceiver?
No!
"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: If any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him...." Revelation 3:20
"And the Spirit and the Bride say, Come, And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely." Revelation 22:17
11. Does any man, church or political power have the authority to change God's law?
"Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or 9one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law..... Matthew 5:18
"For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unt9o these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things what are written in this book." Revelation 22:18-19
12. Will God change His law?
"For I am the Lord, I change not ...." Malachi 3:6
"Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law....Matthew 5:18
"Think not that I am come to destroy the law ....." Matthew 5:17
"......the word of our God shall stand for ever." Isaiah 40:8
